Dionne Bennett & The Pepper Seeds
Closing Friday night at The Muse with power and soul, Dionne Bennett returns to Brecon with her band The Peppercorns for a blistering set of jazz, funk, blues and raw vocal brilliance. Known for her commanding stage presence and soaring voice, Dionne blends groove, grit and charisma into every performance. Expect deep rhythm, big energy, and an unforgettable finish to the first day of the festival.

Vocalist Sylvie Noble and double bassist Ursula Harrison bring a strikingly original duo to Brecon Jazz Festival 2025. With an unorthodox line-up of voice and bass, they strip each piece back to its core, creating intimate, groove-rich interpretations filled with warmth, humour, and fearless improvisation. Bonded through a shared love of jazz and folk, Ursula and Sylvie craft performances that feel like a conversation — between players, songs, and audience. Talulah
Rising star Talulah brings her genre-blending, bilingual sound to Brecon Jazz Festival for the first time. Fusing percussive textures, jazz-infused melodies and dreamy harmonies, her music explores power, identity, and the revival of the Welsh language. Winner of the 2023 Welsh Music Prize’s Triskel Award and featured as BBC Radio Cymru’s Artist of the Week, Talulah’s new EP ‘Solas’ has firmly established her as a bold, boundary-pushing voice in Welsh music.

Julian Martin
Following the release of their acclaimed debut album Dacw Nghariad in 2024, The Julian Martin Trio have been turning heads with their original compositions and lyrical, offbeat takes on late 20th-century classics. For this special Brecon Jazz Festival performance, they’re joined by renowned trumpeter Ben Thomas, celebrated for his soulful, expressive playing and described as “electrifying” (Cheltenham Jazz Festival) and “a restlessly creative soul” (Ian Mann). Expect warmth, invention, and moments of pure musical connection.

Known worldwide as “the Lady Miles Davis of Europe,” her Muse show promises fearless creativity, raw energy, and a boundary-pushing musical experience like no other.
